Jorge Nelson Martinez: "In Cuba the singer was born".
The young baritone from Holguin, Jorge Nelson Martínez González, is accompanied by the ability to amaze. He already did so in 2018, when he made headlines as the first Cuban to achieve a scholarship to study at the Academia Teatro Alla Scala in Milan, Italy, and he returned to the "networks" a few weeks ago with the news of his participation in the International Competition of Canto Lirico de Portofino.
With the signing of the agreement between the Casa del Cuento and the Vice Rector's Office of University Extension of the University of Holguin, the Mayra Navarro Chair of Oral Narration was officially established this June 29th, strengthening the institutional links, the studies of this scenic manifestation and the research and artistic creation projects.
The Casa de Iberoamerica in the city of Holguin has, as of Monday, two record players and all its equipment, donated by the Sweden-Cuba Friendship Association together with collaborators from Denmark and Norway.

First shipment of modules with food donated by friendly countries arrived in Holguin.
