The president of the Provincial Assembly of the People's Power, in Holguín, Julio César Estupiñán Rodríguez, visited in the afternoon of this Monday sites of socioeconomic interest in the municipality of Urbano Noris.

Estupiñán came to the sugar mill to learn the realities of the sugar harvest, especially the results of the national emulation that ended on Monday and ranked the "Colossus" as the first of the province and second in Cuba.

Estupiñán stressed that it is necessary to avoid steam leaks, raise attention to producers, provide all possible electric power to the national grid and avoid high percents of foreign matter in the cane that reaches the industry, to gain in performance.

In another moment of his trip, the president of the Provincial Assembly of Popular Power in Holguín visited the restaurant “El Oriental”, recently opened in San Germán. There he talked with the workers and he was interested in the plan of the unit, the system of payment for results, which should stimulate the work of each one.

In addition, he learned about the creation of new extensions of the Local Development Project and the investments that are executed in the territory as part of the one percent tax on land tax and the Articulated Platform for Integral Territorial Development.

In this regard, he learned that the new equipment that humanizes and speeds up work in El Oriental is already working, the sweet shop on 12th Street only expects a voltage change for its operation, and a mini pickling industry is created in a Cooperative. of Credits and Services of this municipality.
