Investments of more than 28 million pesos made this year by the trading company of the province of Holguín, essentially in maintenance and remodeling of units aimed at improving services to the population.
Ibert Peña, director of development of the entity told the Cuban News Agency that the program in this sense concentrates on those areas of highest priority within the commercial context and in line with the approaches and concerns of voters in neighborhood meetings through the process of accountability of the delegate of the People's Power.
The work, he meant, extends in addition to the casuistic rehabilitation of the premises destined to warehouses, as areas prioritized in the direct services to the population towards the construction of stores for the sale of materials of the construction of houses by own effort of the families.
In this case, he stressed that work is being done on the implementation of seven units of this type in the municipalities of Calixto Garcia, Antilla, Gibara, Mayari and Holguin, among others, while in Cacocum are intensifying actions in the total restoration of the motel Los Pinos, emblematic installation of that territory.
Peña also noted the work completed in terms of support for commercial services, food and care for the population of the mountain communities of Guamuta and Farallones in the municipalities of Cueto and Moa, respectively, as part of the program to improve the communities of the Plan Turquino holguinero.
