Some 169 schools in the province of Holguín will continue to operate during the months of July and August, an initiative that has been developed in the territory since 2014.
Liset Ruiz Valiente, artistic education methodologist at the Provincial Directorate of Education, commented that summer activities will focus on healthy recreation and the educational institution will become the protagonist of the community.
"From June 29th and 30th, days in which the vacation period begins, creative workshops will be developed, we will celebrate the most significant events such as Children's Day, National Rebel Day, International Youth Day, anniversaries of political and mass organizations, the birthday of our Commander in Chief Fidel Castro among others," said the methodologist.
Each territory has designed its summer strategy, in which the use of audiovisual and computer resources will play a leading role, hence the specialists of these programs are linked to each center as well as the librarians and art instructors, the last ones in charge of making cultural crusades and climbs to the most intricate sites of Holguin's geography, explained Ruiz.
The artistic festivals, the courses of overcoming for young people and adults, as well as the operation of 24 pioneer facilities and eight palaces of pioneers will distinguish the summer.
It also provides a plan of attention to teachers with the delivery of incentives in the 17 villas enabled in educational facilities in beach areas, excursions to historical and recreational sites as well as the delivery of awards to the most outstanding in the school year that ends.
